由紐約數位華語文學習中心主辦，紐約華僑文教服務中心輔導之「紐約地區漢字文化節 ─ 第二屆漢字趣味大賽」，訂於 2010 年 11 月 27 日(星期六)上午 10 時至下午 3 時在紐約華僑文教服務中心舉行，比賽內容有「中文電腦打字識字比賽」、「漢字五子棋比賽」和「漢字認讀比賽」。這項活動挑戰中小學生正體漢字識字能力，鼓勵海外華人子弟持續華語的學習。並藉由趣味比賽型式，強調新世代華語教學的新方法，創造出海外華語教學新的應用模式性。這項活動接受所有中文學校團體或個人報名參加，報名時間自即日起至 11 月 18 日截止，各項比賽示範及出題範圍請瀏覽主辦單位網址（www.ComputerChinese.com），或電洽紐約數位華語文學習中心蔣昌棟先生，電話：917-254-4340。
The Chinese Character Contest coordinated by the OCAC will be held on November 27 (Saturday), from 10 AM to 3 PM, at the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York (133-32 41st Road, Flushing, New York). The contest is open for individual or group registration. Registration deadline is November 18.
