大家好! 一年容易又秋天,暑假即將接近尾聲，希望大家有一個愉快的暑假，在此歡迎各位同學和家長們回來。新學年將于九月十二日開始。聯合中文學校期盼所有在校生回到學校繼續學習中文、認識中華文化；也歡迎與祝福所有新老師新學生及新的家庭加入聯合大家庭。希望每位家長能積極參與學校各項義務工作和支持學校各類活動。請大家多多支持聯合中文學校，如果您有認識的親友或鄰居想進一步認識中華文化，或是想學中文，請他們接洽本校行政義工人員，參閱本校網址， 或親自來本校參觀學習。
Welcome back! We hope you had a very wonderful and relaxing summer break. Our 2009-2010 school will be opening on Saturday, September 12th. Please remember to come to school early for the first day before 9:00 AM in order to grant you enough time for preventing confusion in school, and also getting familiarized to your classroom assignment.
隨信附上這學年行事曆、學生須知、和義工須知。行事曆上有學校活動日期及放假日，敬請參閱。 學生須知，請家長們告知貴子女。 義工須知，請義工家長們告知貴子女應注意事項。
Enclosed are our School Calendar, Student Guidelines, and Volunteer Guidelines. Calendar will show you all activities in coming school year. Please read Student Guideline to all our children and make sure they understand. Also if your child is doing volunteer job in school, please let them understand The Volunteer Guidelines.
下列事項請家長們注意: (Attention all parents)
上課地點 (our school location): Thomas Alva Edison Intermediate School, 800 Rahway Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090
上課時間 : 自2009 年9月12 日至2010 年6 月12 日，於星期六上午上課。請家長8:55 A.M.準時將子女送至上課教室。語文課二節 9:00–9:50 A.M. 及 10:00–10:50A.M.。 文化課一節: 11:00–11:50 A.M. 。
Our school year starts from September 12, 2009 to June 12, 2010. All classes will be held on Saturday from 9AM to 12PM. (9AM to 11AM is Language class, and 11AM to 12PM is our culture class)
上課教室: 請參閱下表.學校並將會於開學當日張貼於學校正門口及餐廳門外。
Followings are our classroom assignment.
註册及加退選: 9 月12日和9 月19 日上午9:15 至 11:00 在學校餐廳辦理。註册時需繳交全年語文及文化課之費用，並繳50 元註册手續費。9 月19 日以後辦理加退選，須由教務及任課老師簽名同意，並另加 收10 元加退選手續費。
Sep-12 and Sep-19 will be our registration days. Please contact school registrar at school cafeteria for anyregistration related issue.
退費辦法: 註册手續費、加退選手續費恕不退回。 9 月19 日以前退選，扣除應計之語文課簿本費和文化課教材費用，所繳學費全額退回。9 月19 日以後退選，按退選日期，以1/4 學期為退費單元。成人文化課恕不退費，除非課程被迫取消。
更改課程: 以下有些文化課之調整，請各位同學和家長注意: 由於註冊人數之不足， 以下課程將有可能被臨時取消: 數學SAT、剪貼、扯鈴。
The following classes might be cancelled if there are no sufficient participating students registered: Math SAT, Art & crafts, and Chinese Yo-Yo.
家長輪值: 家長在學校走廊駐守能確保孩子們有最安全的學習環境。值日家長請於當天 8:55AM準時至學校餐廳向訓導處報到。如有疑問，請洽張中熙 (201-436-8644)。謝謝您的合作。
To ensure children have the most secure learning environment, school will ask parents to serve security duty. Please contact our staff Chung-His Chang (201-436-8644) for any question.
升級考試: 有意參與跳級考試學生請于9 月8 日以前通知教務尹幼華，並於開學日9:00 AM至餐廳由教務統籌辦理。
A test exam is available for those students who interested to skip one grade. Contact Yu-Hua Chang before September 8th and exam will be held on 9:00 AM September 12th in school cafeteria.
請大家注意 !! 有鑑於學校安全，學校只開放餐廳旁大門進出。
Attention!! For our school safety, please use cafeteria’s entry door only. Other doors will be locked during school hours.
