1. The dictionary lookup and reading contest will be held on next week (4/21). Detailed rules are included in the attachment for your reference.

本週六將舉行校內查字典 / 閱讀測驗比賽，詳細比賽規則請參閱附錄。

2. The ANJCS yo-yo contest will be held on 4/28 at ECS. We have 3 contestants attend this competition. ANJCS校際扯鈴比賽 (Yo-yo contest)

將於2012年4月28日12:30-2:30PM 在愛迪生中文學校舉行。本校有三位選手報名參加，有興趣者可於當日前往愛迪生中文學校為其加油。

3. UCS teaching staff and language deans cordially invite a volunteer to be in charge of the coming “Word Recognition Game” for traditional classes on June 2nd. Due to our former volunteer is moving out the school district, we urgently need someone to step up for this fun event that is the highlight at the end of the school year. If you are interested, please contact the language dean, Airu Chen. Her email is airu_sun@yahoo.com.

國立國父紀念館舉辦「2012第三屆金赫獎國際盃美術書畫大賽」，比賽項目包括書法、國畫、水彩及油畫等四大類，歡迎各界人士報名參與，有意參賽者請逕至網站查詢相關資訊，並於2012年4月30日前連同報名表及作品寄達主辦單位。詳情請參閱附錄。

5. ACS and ANJCS have jointly sponsored the ”Relay For Life” liver cancer composition contest. Please see the enclosed file for details. The deadline for this event is on 5/30/12.

6. CACA 2012 summer camp registration has started. Each school has 20 students (both traditional & CSL class students) can attend (guaranteed) and the registration is based on ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis. If interested please go to our VP, Lily Chen Hafteck, for detailed information (you may get registration form and health exam form from her or download yourself). The registration fee of $30.00 can be waived if registered before 5/14.

二零一二年CACA暑期夏令營已經開始報名，每校皆有二十個名額可以使用(先來先贏原則) 。 有興趣報名者請參閱附件，並與副校長陳莉莉聯絡。五月十四日之前報名者免報名費(三十美元) 。

7. CACA 2012 Fun Day is scheduled on 5/20/12 (Sunday) afternoon (12:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.) at MJCS (in East Brunswick). As usual, there will be fun/carnival games, delicious foods, entertainments (programs) and sports competitions (tug of war, etc.) on that Sunday afternoon. The tug of war competition together with other fun game will have a ‘school-base competition’ among 5 schools with the overall champion school wins the $500.00 cash award. The runner-up school gets $400.00 award, etc. (till the 5th place school gets $100.00). Remember we won that $500.00 award last year? I wish we can repeat it like last year. We need at least 15 students in this (tug of war) competition. Please spread this news out to your friends and other UCS members and encourage them to come and enjoy the fun day with foods, programs, and fun/carnival games. Tickets are sold at $0.50 a piece and at a discount rate of every 22 tickets for $10.00 (buy $10.00 get $1.00 free, the discount rate is not applied when buying tickets at site on 5/20). It will be on sale soon. (Most likely starting from next Saturday please be patient for the announcement.) Thanks.

中美文化協會的園遊會，將於五月二十日在中部中文學校(at East Brunswick)舉辦(下午十二點半至六點) 。有台灣美食小吃，趣味競賽及遊戲，歌舞表演，以及體育競賽，包括五校拔河比賽。第一名有$500.00美元獎金(至第五名$100.00美元) 。本校去年得了拔河比賽冠軍，今年將前來衛冕。拔河比賽須十五位學生上場(男女不拘，但愈壯愈好) ，希望各位家長能帶你的小孩前來捧場，不能下場比賽至少可以捧個人場當啦啦隊，並可欣賞表演及享受台灣美食，何樂而不為呢? 園遊券每張五毛美元，買十元送一元(亦即22張十美元) ，多買多送(現場購買則無此優待)，即將開賣，敬請期待。

8. ANJCS Field Day sports competition will be held on 5/19/12 (Saturday) afternoon from 12:30 to 5:30 P.M. at Holmdel High School Roggy field at Holmdel, NJ. Ms. Yuchin Li has agreed to be our school ‘Captain’ to handle all the registration stuff for all kinds of competitions (100m, 400m, 400m relay for both boys and girls, tug of war, etc.). The deadline is on 5/1/12 (not far away from now). If you are interested in joining the team, please go to her for registration. She will also handle the ‘tug of war’ competition for CACA 5-school on 5/20/12 (next day, Sunday) as well. Please see the enclosed file for details.
