1. Due to the emergency closing of our school on 11/3, there are some changes in the school calendar. We will have school on 2/16 as a make-up day. Coupon day is moved to 12/1. Drawing contest materials will be distributed on 12/1 and the deadline to return the entries is 1/5. The updated school calendar is attached for your information.

由於我們在11/3要緊急停課,本年學校的行事曆現有更改。2/16要補課，12/1有獎勵卷兌換和繪畫比賽發稿, 1/5繪畫比賽截稿。

2. The winner list of the first round of UCS Speech Contest on 10/27 is attached. Congratulations to all the winners! These students are advanced to the final contest.

十月二十七日的演講比賽初賽的得獎名單，請看附錄。恭喜所有有得獎者和進入決賽的學生!

3. The UCS Annual Speech Contest Final Round will be held this Saturday 11/17 in the auditorium. The first two winners of each group will be qualified to participate in the CACA Joint School Contest on 12/15.

Group A, B, C, D contestants should arrive at the auditorium at 8.45 am to draw their numbers so that the contest can start at 9:05 am punctually.

Group CSL 1-3 contestants should go to auditorium at 9:30 am to draw their numbers.

一年一度的聯合中文學校演講比賽決賽將於本週六(十一月十七日), 於大禮堂舉行.各級優勝學生（第一和第二名）, 將代表本校參加於十二月十五日的 中美文化協會所舉辦的五校演講比賽.

A組, B組, C組, D組,的參賽者應於八點四十五分抵達大禮堂抽籤出場順序，以 便比賽能夠于九點五分準時開始舉行。
CSL-1組, CSL-2組,CSL-3組的參賽者應於九點三十分抵達大禮堂抽籤出場順序。

5. The talk on family education and university preparation by the authors of “The Harvard Sisters – quality family education” will be postponed to 12/15.

由家庭教育專著《哈佛兩姐妹—素質教育與智力開發家庭教育全記錄》的作者汪小武博士和胡琳夫婦主講的家庭教育講座日期已改爲12/15。

6. ANJCS will host a Chinese Culture Multimedia Presentation Contest to promote the research and understanding of the Chinese characters and culture. All New Jersey high school students of different racial backgrounds are welcome to enter. The deadline is 12/31/2012. Please refer to the attached rules and registration form in Newsletter No. 7.

新澤西中文學校協會(ANJCS) ，將舉行多媒體海報比賽，以促進對中文的研究和對中華文化的了解。所有新澤西州的高中在校學生，無論種族及背景，皆歡迎組隊參加。詳細比賽規則及報名表，請參閱學校第七期聯合通訊的附錄資料。報名截止日期為十二月三十一日。
