Relay for Life

I'm Wayne Chang with the CACA Teen Club and hope to get in touch with anyone interested in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. I realize and apologize for that this is short notice, as the event is on this Saturday. I hope that you will forward this email to anyone you think might be interested in the event (or the whole school if possible). It is a very charitable cause, and also gives excellent returns in community service hours to participating teenagers for honor societies or college.

Relay for Life is a event to honor all those who have suffered from cancer. It will take place at Johnson Park, Piscataway, NJ, on this Saturday (6/27/09) from 3PM-9PM. There will be food and activities. It is great for families and teenagers alike. While it is acceptable to leave early, staying for the whole thing is strongly encouraged, and there will be a show of illuminated candles at night to honor survivors and sufferers of cancer. Registration is only $10. For more information and to register, please visit: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY09EA?team_id=506194&pg=team&fr_id=14074

For Teenagers:
Here's a list of some possible activities you may aid with and receive community service hours for.
Signing up on the Website & Becoming a Participant - 3 Hours
Participation from 3PM-9PM - 6.5 Hours
Setting up/Cleaning up - 2 Hours each shift
Register a Cancer Survivor to participate at Relay - 5 Hours

Not only do you help your community, but you can earn many community service hours this way!
Don't hesitate to contact me during the daytime with any inquiries. Thanks.

Thanks,
Wayne Chang
