1. The annual Chinese New Year event is 3 weeks away (on 1/28/12) now. We will start to sell the ‘dinner party ticket’ from this week. Please go to Mr. Ming Liu for buying the tickets. The dinner menu is included in the attachment file for your reference. We ask our parents to help out as volunteers and encourage the new parents and those who have never being a volunteer to participate this time. If you are interested to be a volunteer for this event please contact our responsible person, Ming Liu (TEL: (908) 889-4115) directly. If you want to donate some presents for ‘raffle drawing’ please contact Ms. Sandy Hu. Thanks.

4. The CCC in NY and ANJCS will hold an introductory meeting for ‘overseas joint recruiting event for Universities in Taiwan’ at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Edison Chinese School. If your child is interesting in studying at Taiwan for undergraduate or graduate programs, you may find essential information of the program in this meeting.

新澤西中文學校協會謹訂於2012年1月7日(星期六)下午2時至3時45分於紐澤西州愛迪生中文學校舉辦「2012年海外聯合招生宣導說明會」，並請紐約華僑文教服務中心張景南主任簡報僑生申請入學資格及辦法，並播放海外聯合招並播放海外聯合招生委員會宣導影片，敬請屆時撥冗參加為荷。詳情請參閱附件。

5. The annual CACA Chinese New Year Gala event is coming soon. It is scheduled on 2/11/12 (Saturday) night at The Palace (hotel) at Somerset Park in Somerset. The ticket price is $75.00 per adult and $25.00 per children (under 12). Baby sitter is included onsite and an ‘international ballroom dance competition’ will be held during the party, too (limit to first 15 couples registered). For this event, CACA has a ‘profit sharing plan’ for all 5 schools and sub-organizations in that the ‘profit’ (if any) will be shared among all schools (and sub-organizations) that sell dinner tickets and obtain some ads (from vendor) proportionally. Last year from the same event we (UCS) earned more than $500.00 (due to I sold 23 tickets for this event and got 4 outside ads from vendors). The more people attend this event the more money (profit sharing) we will get from CACA (as a ‘bonus’). So please join this event if at all possible. If interested, please come to principal for the tickets.
