*** Activities, Events & Announcements *** 近期活動介詔、公告及宣佈事項

1. This week (5/19) there are many activities, including: Final exam, last coupon redemption, and ANJCS Field Day sports competition (in the afternoon, 12:30 to 5:30 P.M.). The sports competition is held at Holmdel high school Roggy field, 36 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. If you have time, please go there and watch our players compete for several field competitions. For recognition, all the 1st place winners are free to join the BBQ event on 6/2/12.

本週(5/19)將有數項活動，包括期末考及獎勵卷兌換以及在新海中文學校體育場舉辦的ANJCS運動會(地址是36 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733) 。請大家踴躍參加，為選手們加油，凡獲各組競賽第一名的團體或個人，皆可免費參加六月二日的烤肉活動做為獎勵。

2. We have found Ms. Sharon Chiou willing to conduct the Word Recognition Game for traditional classes on June 2nd. So this game will take place as planned.

認字遊戲將由邱亞美主辦，此項活動將於六月二日如期舉行。

3. The BBQ event on 6/2 registration deadline is this week on 5/19. Please either go to the principal or go on-line to record your family’s attendance. The fees for this event will be $10.00 for adult and $6.00 for children (age 4 to 12). People with age >80 or < 4 are free of charge. Students who attend either ANJCS sports contests or CACA Fun Day tug of war competition or fun game and won the 1st place are free, too. (Please pay first and we will reimburse you later if you are one of the ‘champion’ students.) We need more volunteers for this event and if you can help please let me (principal) know. Thanks. Up to tonight (5/17) there are a total of 29 people registered, so we need 1 more people register on this Saturday then the BBQ event will continue. 六月二日的烤肉活動開始報名，請向校長或上網登記。大人$10.00元，小孩(四歲至十二歲)$6.00元，八十歲以上或四歲以下免費。凡參加ANJCS運動會或CACA拔河比賽及趣味競賽獲第一名成績的學生(或參賽的家長)亦免費。須若干家長的協助幫忙(如買肉買碳及醃肉等) ，有意者請與校長聯絡，謝謝。至目前為止已經有29人報名，看來烤肉活動可以如期舉行了。 *** Advertisement 廣告時間 *** 4. Thank you for MEK Review (an educational training center) who donated $200.00 to UCS and brought 100 free Mother’s Day gifts to our students last week. I still have 10 more free gifts on hand. If you did not get one last week you might get one from me this week (first come first serve basis until gone). Please come to me (principal) before 11:00 A.M. to get one. CACA 2012 summer camp registration has started. Each school has 20 students (both traditional & CS L class students) can attend (guaranteed) and the registration is based on ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis. If interested please go to our VP, Lily Chen Hafteck, or principal (for this week only) for detailed information (you may get registration form and health exam form from her or me or download yourself). The registration fee of $30.00 can be waived if registered before 5/31, since the deadline for registration for CACA summer camp has been extended to end of May. Please consider registering your child/ children if you have not done so. 二零一二年CACA暑期夏令營已經開始報名，每校皆有二十個名額可以使用(先來先贏原則) 。 有興趣報名者請參閱附件，並與副校長陳莉莉或校長聯絡。五月三十一日之前報名者免報名費(三十美元) 。本校目前已有二人報名，成績已超過去年(只有一人報名) ，可喜可賀。

6. CACA 2012 Fun Day is scheduled on 5/20/12 (Sunday) afternoon (12:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.) at MJCS (in East Brunswick). As usual, there will be fun/carnival games, delicious foods, entertainments (programs) and sports competitions (tug of war, etc.) on that Sunday afternoon. Tickets are sold at $0.50 a piece and at a discount rate of every 22 tickets for $10.00 (buy $10.00 get $1.00 free, the discount rate is not applied when buying tickets at site on 5/20). It is available now and please come to the principal (Johnny) for tickets. Only 40 packs (1 pack = 22 tickets for $10.00) are distributed to us. And I have sold 20 packs already (so only 20 packs are left now). Please don’t miss the last chance to buy discount tickets before Sunday.

中美文化協會的園遊會，將於五月二十日在中部中文學校(at East Brunswick)舉辦(下午十二點半至六點) 。有台灣美食小吃，趣味競賽及遊戲，歌舞表演，以及體育競賽，包括五校拔河比賽。園遊券每張五毛美元，買十元送一元(亦即22張十美元) ，多買多送(現場購買則無此優待)，園遊券現已開賣，請洽校長購買事宜。只有40組(每組22張十美元)賣完為止欲購從速(目前已賣出二十組，尚餘二十組)。

7. ANJCS Field Day sports competition will be held on 5/19/12 (Saturday) afternoon from 12:30 to 5:30 P.M. at Holmdel High School Roggy field at Holmdel, NJ. We have already registered this event. For contestants please be there by 12:20 P.M. The sports contests schedule is attached for your reference.

五月十九日(週日), ANJCS將舉辦本年度的新州中文學校運動會，本校已報名。請選手們於十二點二十分抵達會場，以便參加十二點三十分的開幕繞場儀式，本校選手被安排第一個進場，故請選手們準時抵達。若上文化課，請最遲於十一點四十分，離開學校前往比賽會場，以免遲到，運動會比賽程序請參閱附件。

8. Music from China will have a concert on 6/2 and they will also host a summer camp in late July to early August this year. For more information please see the attached file for details.

長風少年中樂團將於六月二日舉行音樂會，並於七月底至八月初舉辦暑期國樂夏令營，有興趣者請參閱附件，閱讀詳情。

9. The calligraphy cultural class on 5/19 will be cancelled, due to the teacher (principal) has to arrive the sports competition site by 11:30 A.M. for registration and pick up all UCS student attendants and judges’ uniforms as well as set up the tent. I can give 2 people (parents or students) a ride to there to exchange your helping me setting up the tent and pick up the T-shirts. Interested people please contact the principal directly. 本週書法課不上，因為老師(即校長)須於十一點三十分之前抵達會場，辦理報到手續，領取本校選手及裁判們的T恤(制服) ，還要架設帳蓬之故(太忙了)我可以給二人(家長或學生)搭便車一起前往(以交換你幫忙我架設帳蓬及註冊事宜) ，十點五十分學校出發，有興趣者請直接與校長聯絡。謝謝。
