1. Greetings to everyone! On behalf of Lily, she wishes everybody has a good summer time and is looking forward to seeing all of you in September. Our 2012-2013 school calendar for September is presented above for your reference. Don’t forget to come and register on the first two weeks (if you haven’t done so yet).

大家好!本人僅代表校長陳莉莉, 祝各位暑期愉快, 並希望於九月開學時, 再見到大家. 上面是九月份的行事曆, 供各位參考. 別忘了來註冊(若你的小孩尙未註冊的話).

2. We (UCS) will attend a ‘Street Fair’ in Westfield on 8/25/12 (Saturday) at South Avenue Train Station parking lot. The show hours are from 11:00 to 5:00 P.M. We need parents and students to come to our exhibition booth to help and do the performances. Any performances are welcome. For example, singing, dancing (folk dance and others), instrument solo, duet, small ensemble, yo-yo, Chinese calligraphy and painting, etc. If your child is available and willing to perform on that date, please let me know your time slot that you can come (e.g., 11:00 to 11:30 A.M., or 2:30 to 3:00 P.M., etc.) and the type of performance (singing, dancing, etc.). I also need some parents to help me set up the booth (a tent) and stay there for some time (one to two hours, your choice of time – could be the same as your kids’ performance time). 聯合將參加八月二十五日, 在西野市火車站南面停車場, 所舉行的”街頭聯誼會及園遊會”, 時間從上午十一點到下午五點. 需要家長及小孩(貴子女)的幫忙, 看守攤位及表演任何節目(唱歌, 跳舞, 樂器演奏, 扯鈴, 等)都歡迎. 有興趣參加或幫忙者, 請來電(郵, 話)告知時段. 謝謝!

4. ANJCS will have a Confucius Memorial Ceremony event on 9/29/12 (Saturday) at Montville High School in Montville, NJ. They need students to do the traditional Confucius ceremony dancing (36 students are needed). If your child is interested in attending this event (for the dancing) please fill in the enclosed registration form and send it out by yourself. The practice times are on 9/8, 9/16, 9/22, and 9/23. For more information please see the enclosed flyer and registration form. ANJCS will offer certificates for community service hours for your children. Space is very limited (only 36) so plan to register soon if your child is interested in attending.

5. 2012 Double Tenth Celebration Goodwill Mission will have its annual performance on 9/29/12 (Saturday) 6:00 P.M. at Ridge Performing Arts Center (268 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). Tickets ($20.00 per person) are on sale now. For UCS parents you can contact our school dean, Airu Sun, for tickets (TEL: (908) 928-9785). For more information please see the enclosed flyers.

101年雙十國慶文化訪問團公演, 將於九月二十九日晚上六點, 在Ridge Performing Arts Center演出(地址是268 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). 由方芳, 陸一嬋, 陳凱倫, 等擔綱演出. 票價每人二十元, 四歲以下不准入場. 有意購票者, 請洽孫藹如(電話908-928-9785).
