This is a very unique event to all the students and there are ‘money prize’ ($100.00, $50.00, $ $25.00 cash) for the first 3 winners for each group. For more information please see the attached flyer for details. Deadline is on 9/30/11.

3. Due to personal schedule conflict, the yo-yo teacher has resigned and we will have a new yo-yo teacher starting this Saturday. Please welcome Mr. Max Kung (龔成禹) join UCS as the yo-yo teacher. 扯鈴課老師換人。
4. The chess class has cancelled due to lack of students enrolled (3 people) and the teacher is not willing to teach in such a small class. Those 3 students who have registered in chess class please come to school and drop this class. Your cultural class fees will be fully reimbursed to you. 棋藝課因學生太少(3人) 而取消。
5. The CSL-5 class teacher also resigned due to her busy schedule and conflict. The CSL class dean, Valerie Yin, will be the substitute teacher until we find a permanent one. (It is hard to find one immediately at this moment for this class.) CSL-5課的老師因公務繁忙請辭， 現由雙語班教務 尹幼華暫代，直到找到老師為止。
6. This Saturday (9/24) there is a ‘fire drill’ event in UCS. The fire alarm will sound on 9:40 till 9:50A.M. Please see the attached school map and find the nearest exit and go outside the building and stay there until it is over (10 minutes). 本週學校有消防演習，請遵守規定至校門外集結，勿逗留於學校建築物之中，謝謝合作。
7. Next week (10/1) there is a parent-teacher conference for all language classes. The new schedule for the parent-teacher conference is as follows: 老師家長會議新時刻表如下:

CSL1, CSL2, CSL3, CSL5, K1, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes: 10/1 between 10:50 to 11:15 in the class room 3rd, 9th/10th grade classes: 10/8 between 10:50 to 11:15 in the class room

8. There will be a (fee) concert hosts by ‘2011 Double Tenth Celebration Goodwill Mission’ atKean University on this Saturday evening at 6:30P.M. (百年雙十國慶文化 訪問團公演) UCS and CAME tickets are sold out. The goodwill mission is led by the famous television star Mei-Feng Chen (陳美鳳) from Taiwan. Please see the attached flyer for more information about this event.
9. On Sunday 9/25/11 night in NYU, New York, there will be another concert celebration for the 100th national birthday of R.O.C. Programs include a ‘100 people chorus’ (百人大合唱), instrument solo (professional level), Chinese opera, folk dance and others. Please see the attached flyer for more detailed information.
